Linhardt Studios... NY..
My brother in law Mike just had a gallery opening featuring a project that is very close to his heart..
The Uncle John Project..
The Uncle John Project..
Below is a snipet from his website where you can go and purchase one of these amazing photos if you so desire...
Old Photographs fascinate people, whether they are buried in their Grandmother’s shoebox, clumped in a heap at a cluttered antique store, or framed on the wall of a museum. There is something universally appealing about seeing and touching proof of a time before your own existence.
Therefore, it’s not difficult to relate to my infatuation with the negatives, prints and albums that I discovered several years ago. The negatives of John Laux, inherited by my father (his nephew)
Here is where the college student with too much time on his hands comes in. The “Uncle John Project” began four years ago when I first shuffled through some old boxes to find a camera with film trapped inside. The developed images from that roll sparked an interest and the project began to take form.

I found this fudge pie recipe online
Super easy and majorly delicious..
I am sorry I don't remember where I found it.. I printed it out and didn't write down the source..so if this is your recipe let me know and I will link to you..
1 stick of melted butter
2 eggs
1 t. vanilla
1/4 cup of cocoa
1/4 cup of self rising flour (if you don't have any on had just make your own using 1 cup all purpose flour, 1 1/4 teaspoon of baking powder, and a pinch of salt)
1 cup sugar
Hand mix all the ingredients together in a bowl until well combined.
Pour filling into a ready to bake pie crust (don't use a deep dish pie crust)
Bake at 300 degrees for 45 minutes..
Enjoy! We did!

maple pumpkin pie
The practice for Thanksgiving has begun..
I found the recipe for this maple pumpkin pie in Real Simples November issue...
When Kyle said it melted in his mouth and it would be gone by tomorrow, I knew I did real good...
p.s.. I am pretty proud of my mad "food styling" skills and this picture I took.. for once the picture turned out like I envisioned it in my head..
oh and on a side note, I was putting p.s. in this post and I was like what the heck does p.s. stand for anyways.. just for those of you who are curious and clueless like I was..it stands for post script..kay...

tea inspired..
loving all the new fall clothes that tea has come out with..man they nailed it... they even are introducing pajamas into the line..look out..
so I raided my fabric stash and constructed a little tea like top for Hailie Girl... She loved it and that made mommy happy...nothing like a free new piece of clothing in her wardrobe..maybe that will help hold me off from buying everything on tea's site...

wrapped around her finger..
I am telling you a headstrong four year old little girl is far worse then any terrible two that I have encountered..
Hailie had quite the "diva moment" and after I gave her a stern speaking to, she was sent to her room for some, shall I say ,"reflection time"..
Not but a few moments later she appeared by my side and said, "Mommy, you made water fall out of my eyes"...
man... how can you not be the one to apologize to her after that...
