magazine racks...

when I was younger my entire room was wallpapered with pages that I had torn from magazines... it was just one big huge inspiration board..man it took me forever when I moved out of my parents house to take that all down..
Anyways fast forward to present day and I was surfing my favorite blogs and the ever so popular Made By Girl had a post on some shelving that she bought from Target and used it to display her favorite magazines...
hmmm great idea..to Target I went..It looks really great and it is nice to be able to display all those cool magazines that my mom has brought me from all over the world.. of course I had to throw in a little JT too..hey my inner teenager took over!

Thanks for the shout out Fabric Worm...

Luke's tie is a bit famous now (blush).. Check out the Etsy listing for the pirate fabric I used on his tie at the oh so fabulous Etsy shop Fabric Worm...
Her store is amazing and she is so sweet..so go and buy something from her Etsy store and support work at home moms..
oh and would anyone be interested in purchasing one of these ties? What about the dolly bedding in my previous post?
I might get motivated to put some things in my Etsy shop.. I have some really cute fabrics in mind ...
Give me a comment to let me know!

rock a bye baby

I have been itching to try my new Bernina sewing machine but I have just been so darn busy..
Hailie got this adorable cradle from where else PBK for her dolls for Christmas from Grandma Kathy and it still sat in her room naked..
time for a mommy and me project..
I had Hailie go into my fabric stash and pick out what she liked..no surprise..pink polka dots and butterfly's...
isn't she lovely? I am in love..this machine is soooo nice
ribbon that was on some gift bags that Grandma Kathy gave us..
reduce..reuse..recycle...
while I was taking the above photo..Hailie disappeared and when she reappeared she had her princess camera and said she wanted to take a picture like mommy..
oh boy...what am I creating
here she is helping me "zew".. she presses the pedal for me and she does a really great job of going faster, slower, or stopping when I tell her to and she LOVES it..
here she is "fluffing" the bedding... I love all her little words and pronunciations of things..

Here is the finished cradle...
Then Hailie told me her babies needed to have a pillow..
geez those babies are high maintenance...
Voila.. one pillow!
Here she is rocking Lucy, she was so excited about the bedding she helped mommy make for her babies..
right after I took this photo she mentioned that she needed a blanket now..
mommy was tired so I told her we would do that project another day..
I was thinking about making a mini quilt.. we will see
Here are Lucy, Layla, and Lilly enjoying their cradle with their new comfy bedding...

day exploring the phoenix childrens museum...

cool wall where the kids put their shoes..

Hailie really got into the grocery store area..

here we are in the restaurant and Hailie is serving us our salad..

Luke is taking our pizza order...and Hailie is the perfect waitress bringing it to our table..
washing windows...
inside the noodle forest..which I have to admit was a little Blair Witch Project for me..
good times though..

so on the way back from the museum I wanted to stop at Ikea to get a couple things
Kyle was giving me a hard time saying we didn't need to be spending money on those things right now.. I got all huffy and pouty with him and threw a little temper tantrum..
so when we got home Luke and him decided to color on our bedroom floor while I did some homework and blogged..
this is what Kyle drew me...
argument defused..one thing about my husband he always can make me laugh..

Sister Of Honor..

My sisters wedding is fast approaching...

She has the color scheme of a natural rustic look with cafe, cream, and pops of red...
It looks really amazing all together..

We have the bridesmaid dresses.. it is the one on the left...

we have the shoes.. aren't they great?

Then we were instructed to each come up with our own red "flair".... hmm speed bump...

So I was cruising Etsy(I am seriously addicted.. I need help) and I came across Tina's wonderful Etsy store Sweet B Papers..

Then I saw it.. "my red flair".... this gorgeous ribbon sash... oh how it had to be mine.. Tina is amazing to work with and she is on the search as we speak for that perfect red material to match the shoes.. I also asked her to scale it down just a bit.. I do want it to "pop" as only a good "flair" piece should but I definitely don't want it to be too overpowering.. I am so so excited and now I am done with my Sister of Honor ensemble.. I just need to work on my tan..

My baby boy...

mommy is having a hard time with the fact that her little boy is going to be 6 in a couple weeks...
his school did something really amazing though to make some great memories for all the mommies like me...
they hired this wonderful lady to come in and do silhouettes of all the Kindergartners..
so I just got Luke's back and oh my.. we can't stop staring at it.. it is so precious, there are no words to describe how it makes my heart so happy..
Kyle took this profile picture of Luke so that you could see how incredible of a job she did.. I mean it is him to a tee..
I also finally got around to getting a couple things framed for our bedroom..
I was just leaning them against the wall on the dresser to get an idea where I wanted everything to be hung on the wall, and then I kind of ended up liking them like that..
Now I can't decide..any opinions?

I know I am a bit biased, but man those are cute kids!!
The cousins..... always a good time

Their rendition of doing a "cool pose" ... I never have laughed so hard..

The night before Easter....

I saw this tie tutorial on the Pearl Bee and knew I had to make a cute little tie for Luke out of this adorable pirate fabric that I had gotten a little while ago from The Fabric Worm on Etsy..

the tutorial was so easy to follow and the tie turned out so frickin adorable.. I can't wait to see him in it tomorrow!
then I decided to make a little treat to bring to all of our Easter celebrations tomorrow...
I bought these cute little bunny bags and tags from the 5 dollar french market

the goodies I used...
Easter wouldn't be complete without Peeps
then some chocolate almond bark and lollipop sticks and we got ourselves the makings for a cute little Easter treat...
meet my Peeps...
meet my Peeps dipped in chocolate... ohh yeah.... cause everything tastes better dipped in chocolate...
the finished treats... cute right?
then Kyle called me outside to see the beautiful rainbow that God had created for us..
I am sure to remind us why we celebrate Easter....

Have a Happy Easter tomorrow.. I am off to color eggs with the kids and Kyle!
