One Week Countdown begins until we are off to Chi Town for my sisters epic wedding..
I swear it has been consuming my family for forever now.. (love you sis!)

Anyways I have been so busy helping her I feel like I have not had any time to do projects I have been wanting to do..

When I get back I want to make gigantic floor pillows for our living room in this fabric..

Love..

lean on linens...

old school nesting instincts have been kicking in of late for some reason...
been noticing I practically have no tablecloths, tea towels, extra blankets, or even sheets...nada
just the basics that we use everyday.. I think these tea towels and tablecloth from Plover Organic are super pretty and would be a good way to start a stock pile..
LOVE the scalloped edges..
completely random thought too is that I really want to start a quilt soon.. we will see

Happy Fathers Day...

ours was enjoyed while...

eating some gooood BBQ..
breaking out the slip n slide..
watching the daddy's fly their planes..

eating yummy shaved ice..

playing with bubbles..
and poppers...
then chilling out...just relaxing..

hope yours was as fun as ours!

In memory of the first anniversary of the death of Angela Cara Pancrazio..

Aunt Angie I miss you so very much..
there is such sadness that has been left in my heart since you have been gone..
the only thing that has been able to fill that void for me is looking at the amazing photographs that you have left for us....

The popular saying goes that a picture is worth a 1,000 words ...
After losing you, I also feel a picture allows you a special connection into the photographers soul and thoughts and allows you to continue a closeness with them through their images..
How very blessed we are that you were with us to document your view on life and your passions,
which was focused on your family and loved ones and making sure that people were aware of the diversity that surrounds us and to embrace and appreciate the special human interest pieces that most people would overlook or blow past..
You have left me with a very important life lesson..
slow down and take the time to make those connections, you will gain something from it and every second you are surrounded by loved ones and family cherish it with all your heart and make sure you are there in the moment..
I love you..

double trouble.

The kids had a sleep over this weekend with their friends Jacob and Kailey..

A movie was seen...

A carousel was visited..

and then ridden..

A water balloon fight broke out..and then the scooter gang rode off into the sunset..
to go night night....

yogurt granita

lazy Sunday doing laundry, cleaning, and reading magazines...

In my July issue of Cookie Magazine they had a recipe for yogurt granita..
it looked really refreshing and easy..

1 quart of fresh strawberries.. (they said you could use frozen too..just thaw them)
2 cups of fruit yogurt ( I used Strawberry/Banana as that was what was in the fridge)

In a large bowl, smash the strawberries into the yogurt and stir it all togther..
Pour the mixture into a shallow metal baking pan and place in the freezer, uncovered for 1 hour..
easy enough
Remove the pan out of the freezer and break up any of the clusters...
Return it to the freezer and continue removing the pan and breaking up the clusters every half hour ..do this for about 2 hours.. (it needs to be completely frozen but make sure it is still scoopable)

Scoop and serve...
Man it was good..
Daddy and the kids inhaled it and said it was such a yummy treat after dinner..
loved that it seemed like ice cream to them but it was healthy..
