a celebration

J took me to the Schnef farms dinner in the orchard for my celebratory dinner after I graduated with my Masters from ASU..

the night began with a hay ride out to the orchards to pick the first peaches of the season...
so fun..

A James Beard Award winning chef then cooked a four course meal, which we enjoyed in the middle of the  orchard... truly a unique and delicious experience...

my sis did these amazing invitations for his 1st birthday!
still can't believe she had her first son on the same day I had Luke.. 8 years later.. :)

proud of myself..

hope everyone had a nice Easter..
We had a fantastic one..
We did cornis game hens on the grill..homemade mac and cheese, roasted carrots, deviled eggs, and I made carrot cake from scratch and for the first time ever Italian Easter bread..
I was pretty proud of the carrot cake and bread..
Luke said an amazing blessing which inculded thanking Jesus for dying on the cross for our sins...
Then the kids had fun painting easter eggs and we did a glow in the dark easter egg hunt that ended up being the big event of the evening, the kids had a blast..

turns out I am having an impromptu easter egg hunt Sat night..

and I couldn't be happier...so excited to spend time with family and friends...

so I am scrambling to get a menu and everything together.. I have found some fantastic ideas on different blogs... on one pretty thing she linked to a fantastic garland.. can't remember the blog name.. (I will site if anyone knows,, please leave in the comments)

She used a hole punch but I used fun scissors I had already.... and twine instead of string..

literally took 1/2 hour and I had everything already... I think it turned out super cute...
sorry about the instagram photos.. I am so lazy now..I didnt grab my good camera..

fieldtrip..

Hailie had a field trip today to the desert botanical gardens.. I packed her a sack lunch to bring and out of the corner of my eye I see Luke grab it and write a message to her on it..  my heart melted when I saw what he wrote..

then I here him say.."ha ha hailie now everyone will see what I wrote and you will be embarrassed.. I am getting you back for all the times you embarrass me..
boys.. geez.. just when you think they have that soft side.. sigh..

my sister sent me the cutest valentine this year.. I had told her about the finger painting idea I saw for babies.. You put paint on some paper and then put it in a freezer ziplock bag so that the baby can fingerpaint and squish it all around, but no mess to cleanup!
She had baby B do it (hard to believe my nephew is 10 months already) isnt he adorable!

His first finger painting was of course a masterpiece and she sent it out for valentines day..
I had to frame it..just used an old frame with no glass in it that I had laying around..

 a little black and bronze paint and some hot glue to affix it to the frame..

 and now his love day heart greets us by the front door :) makes me happy..

this top had me at hello...

at $58 though I have to think on it... what do you say? worth it or wait for sale?

I have been trying to find that perfect spring iphone case..
I have yet to succeed..
yet I did stumble upon this Tory Burch mouse pad..
the design is spring perfection.. can I request it on iphone case please Tory Burch??

rose barrettes..

found these sweet little barrettes on the purlbee..
they turned out to be a little more difficult then I thought..
apparently I stink at cutting out felt..
I managed to get three done though and they turned out pretty cute, and hailie loved them..
by the second one though I whipped out the glue gun instead of the needle and thread like the tutorial showed..and it went much faster..

she is getting big...only 5 months yet she takes up half the bed and her paws are bigger then my hands..

we love her so much though

thinking she needs one of these new collars since she has outgrown her home one..

decisions

I cant decide what fabric I like to reupholster the ottoman my mom gave me to put in my living room next to my couch.. I want to put that tray on it and if you look back at my posts you see my living room is mostly brown, greys, taupe's, and creams/whites.. I want to bring some color in and I feel like the circle fabric ties it all together but I really like the green fabric but afraid it would just seem random..
suggestions?

this little girl went through my box of clothes from when I was her age.. found this poncho and has been wearing it ever since..

we took a trip to Vegas..with a bunch of our couple friends.. had a blast

 we even ate a fried oreo sundae from Serendipity.. so delicious

 spent a bunch of time with my babies.... just having fun

 having yummy meals together with my man..

 and this little man started basketball and loves it..

I didnt get to do my Christmas giveaway..maybe next Christmas?? lol..geez..

ok I am decked out for Christmas now..

 we did the DIY snow globes in the mason jars that are floating around blog land..they turned out cute..

 we are doing ornaments on a mini tree for advent this year.. kids LOVE it..

 my sled from when I was a little girl always makes me happy...
