settled...

kids are tucked in..
the last box unpacked..
and a fresh batch of homemade chocolate chip cookies...
it's starting to feel like home..

we had the party all planned out..and then the snow got in the way :(

we had big plans for these guys...

we peeled crayons for hours and melted and molded....
the kids were going to give these to their friends for valentines..
and then we went to Target to pick up some things and they spotted the valentines aisle..
they found some old school valentines they got so excited over..
whats a mom to do..sigh..
so now we have an army of lego crayons.. which Luke is quite okay with as he said "It's okay mommy.. I didn't really want to give any of those cool Lego crayons away anyways.."

hailie called me outside to look at her sidewalk chalk drawing and I went out and was floored..
she made a perfect toucan sam... i use to love froot loops

I was going through my photos to put up a different post and I came across this picture...

it startled me..  the number three.. the chaos of packing.. I sat there staring at the photo and contemplated if I should blog about it... I have yet to see anything so personal be put out there on a mommy craft blog..

I am moving.. again.. 4th time in a couple years.. not because of the economy..or a job change..
but because of together..not together...together..divorced...
I am not sharing this for sympathy or any other reason but to say it does happen.. it is a reality.. my reality...

three instead of four..

the kids are doing great though... we have done what every parent should do..put them first...
but I do not have a perfect life.. nor do I want to give the illusion of one..
it is chaotic.. I have a ton on my plate.. and at times I have been an emotional wreck..
but I am moving forward and accepting change.. and am finding my happiness..

I found the recipe via Bakarella which she got from Martha.. I tweaked mine though...
I  used milk chocolate chips instead of bittersweet chocolate and I didnt have milk in the house but I had chocolate milk..why not.. they are chocolate cookies..right?
I will NOT tell you how many I have eaten..

In honor of my baby sis having her first baby..

She called last night and told Luke and Hailie that their new baby cousin was going to be a boy!
So they gave her some advice on what she would need to buy for him..
Hailiegirl being the little mama she is told Auntie Melissa she needs to get some pajamas.. a shirt.. some jeans..a stroller... and a diaper.. of course..
Luke said that she needs to get the baby some goldfish.. so it wont cry...

spruced up for Thanksgiving...

Our front entry was looking a little sad this weekend...

Our pumpkins were still out.. (Thanks for the cool bling pumpkin kits Aunt Bonnie!) and all my plants died this summer..

 so I de-blinged the pumpkins and got this metallic spray paint...

and now it looks ready for Thanksgiving....

I liked the BOO letters I made for Halloween on it..but not sure that I like the THANK letters for Thanksgiving...
