I am feeling lazy this year in regards to carving pumpkins with the kids..

I saw these BOO letters in the Pottery Barn catalog..

Some 99 cent paper letters from Michaels..warm white paint..and a little sand paper...

Now I have my own BOO letters....

Man it has been busy..
Two kids in school is much different then one..
A new musuem opened though and my uncle and aunt took us...
the musical instrument musuem..
I just had the camera on my phone though but it was so much fun!

impromtu photo shoot...seven and five...

took some shots of the kids the other day..

can't believe how big they are getting...

I also have gotten a couple emails asking if I would be willing to take photos of other families/kids..

I am open to it..if you like what you see on the blog and you understand that I am a complete amateur and you live in Arizona... we can work something out...just email me...

I did a couple shoots already and I just charged 100 bucks...took my time..worked with everyone..then sent them the cd with my edited images and gave them the rights to print to their hearts content...

pretty rough around the edges I  know.. I have a laid back attitude about it though and I really enjoyed it and they were happy with the way the photos turned out ..so everyone has won so far....

First Day...

Mr. Second Grader and Little Miss Kindergarten...

off to the first day of school they go....

Hailie anxiously waiting for the school bell to ring...

than she saw her teacher and her face lit up....

he is such a ham...

Came down the stairs and found Hailiegirl sitting at the counter like this... so I asked her
"babygirl...whatcha doing?"
and her response...
" I'm practicing for Kindergarten mommy..it's in two days you know..."

I hope her Kindergarten teacher is ready!

I found this photo on a design blog..can't remember which one... sorry..

but I printed it out because I fell in LOVE with that sign..

I felt pretty confident that I could recreate it....

I found a couple of thin wooden boards at Micheals for $3.99 each...

and the stencils were 4 bucks...

I already had the black and linen paint....

So excited about the way it turned out and it was so easy!

muffins

I finally jumped on the bountiful baskets bandwagon...
and oh my..what a great way to get your fresh fruits and vegetables.. the 7:45 Saturday morning pickup is a killer though..
but this week we got blueberrys... I found this recipe for blueberry muffins on Pioneer Woman..
and wow...these were some good muffins...

I found the Turbinado sugar at Fresh and Easy...

the kids really enjoyed their homemade blueberry muffins..
